Words from the Editor’s Desk
I’m Rip Van Winkle awakening from a long dream. A while ago I took some time off for a medical problem. Then the time grew longer, and longer, and before I knew it I felt like I was in retirement.
Then a weird thing happened. I missed it. I missed the deadlines, the shows, the music and the writing. What surprised me was how many people still knew me and pushed me. You can never really retire from this business. It is in your blood and soul.
I’m a different person from before my long sabbatical. I still go to shows, review CDs, and love to interview people like crazy. I also value quiet time, and reading books, and seeing movies. I value balance. I also value you.
I’m dusting off my keyboard and grabbing the thesaurus so I can find all the words for amazing for the music I’m now listening to. I’m grabbing my earplugs so I can head back into the live venues.
Thank you to all those who have believed in FEMMUSIC. I would still be in retirement if it weren’t for you. FEMMUSIC is back. The doors are open and are awaiting your music. If you would be interested in having your music reviewed, please send packages to:
